The article highlights the main milestones in the biography of Ivan Panteleimonovich Naydyonov, a member of the Union of Writers of the Kazakh SSR, participant of the Great Patriotic War, and one of the prominent figures in the system of public education in Kazakhstan in the mid-20th century. The relevance of the study is determined by the need for a comprehensive examination of the role of war veterans and representatives of the intelligentsia in the development of pedagogical education and the formation of human resources in the context of “late Stalinism.” The methodological basis of the study combines the historical-biographical method, analysis of archival documents and personal sources, memoir evidence, and comparison with recent scholarly literature. This comprehensive approach has made it possible to objectively assess both the personal fate of the subject and the socio-political context of his activities. The main results of the study show that Naydyonov’s work reflected the key processes of Soviet nomenklatura formation and the contradictions of personnel policy in the conditions of postwar reconstruction. A special role belonged to war veterans, whose authority and experience contributed to educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and civic responsibility. The scientific novelty and significance of the research lie in the fact that Naydyonov’s figure in Kazakhstan’s educational system is, for the first time, the subject of separate analysis. This broadens the understanding of the history of regional educational institutions. The practical value of the study consists in the possibility of applying its results in the preparation of courses on the history of pedagogy, regional studies, and in the development of educational programs aimed at fostering civic and patriotic values among students.
