Olympiad pedagogy is рассматривается as an effective tool for identifying gifted students and developing their research and analytical skills. It is shown that preparing for History of Kazakhstan Olympiads requires not only factual knowledge, but also skills in historical analysis, working with sources, and identifying cause-and-effect relationships. The article describes in detail the structure of micro-cycles, their stages, and their role in the educational process. Each micro-cycle is aimed at developing specific student skills and is based on systematic revision and in-depth analysis. The authors propose ways to form a culture of historical thinking through the integration of theory and practice.
