This study was aimed at assessing the level of formation of a healthy lifestyle among student youth of Northern Kazakhstan. The study was conducted as a part of the multi-year project "Health and behavior of students and student youth" on the basis of Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University.
At this phase of the research, a total of 515 individuals spanning 1st to 5th year students in universities within the Kostanay region were included in the target group. The article presents and analyses findings, drawing comparisons with data from the previous monitoring stage conducted by the authors in 2010-2011 as part of the same project, involving 642 students across the 1st to 5th courses in universities of the Kostanay region. Both adverse and positive trends over the past 12 years were subject to analysis, employing SPSS software version 27.0. The authors revealed a general decline in the health culture of student youth, highlighting specific aspects such as tobacco use, drug consumption, diminished stress resilience, and other factors requiring careful consideration. This underscores the relevance of the research, facilitating a more nuanced approach to preventive measures against negative factors and a deeper exploration of certain aspects of youth life in Northern Kazakhstan.
