The gene pool of self-pollinated sunflower lines of «VKSHOS» LLP was created for the period 1972-2022. Its formation and replenishment were carried out in the process of selection work and introduction. The lines were studied for all valuable economically useful traits, but the fatty acid composition of the oil in the seeds began to be studied only in 2004. More than 500 lines were studied - sterility fixers and pollen fertility restorers. During the research, valuable samples were discovered with an oleic acid content (Ol gene) in seed oil of more than 86%. These samples were used in sunflower breeding for a high content of oleic acid in oil. During the period 2006-2020, 45 new self-pollinated lines were created, including 38 lines - sterility fixers and 7 lines - pollen fertility restorers, with high, medium and low content of oleic acid in oil. In 2019-2022, valuable economic and morphological characteristics were identified in new lines. 13 oleic sunflower hybrids were created.
