This article explores the causes of national nihilism among students and suggests possible solutions, making it a relevant topic in values-based education. The primary reason for the emergence of national nihilism among students is identified as the failure of historical knowledge and classroom instruction to connect with contemporary realities. The author draws on personal teaching experience to demonstrate how fostering students’ intellectual contributions can help counteract national nihilism. The main focus is on the development of digital resources such as historical comics, interactive platforms and open-source projects that contribute to the formation of historical consciousness and the preservation of national identity. The pedagogical approaches that allow students to be involved in the creation of intellectual products, stimulating their creative and analytical thinking, are analyzed. A special place is occupied by the discussion of digital history in the educational process, its impact on the motivation and interest of schoolchildren in studying national history. The article demonstrates the introduction of digital technologies into modern education as a means of combating national nihilism and the formation of a stable economic position among the younger generation.
