As is widely recognized, the formation of spiritual values among the younger generation is one of the primary responsibilities of educational and upbringing institutions, the family, and society at large, since the present era is considered one of the most turbulent and uncertain in the overall course of human history. While the rapid advancement of science and technology has brought numerous benefits, it has also contributed to increasing societal instability, uncertainty, hullabaloo, and a rise in unethical behavior and malevolence—traits that pose significant threats to humanity as a whole. It is known that not only our country, but also the peoples of the whole world are experiencing a spiritual crisis today. This is a bitter truth that we all have to admit. At present, when the younger generation reflects on the fundamental values of any society or state, it is precisely these core values that are most affected by the ongoing spiritual crisis.The proposed article is devoted to the formation of children's spiritual values by means of cultural and leisure activities as part of the researcher's thesis paper. The author assumes the disclosure of the essence and content of the upbringing of spiritual values in children and the personality formation based on a review of the literature dedicated to the article research topic, analyzes the concepts of "leisure", "value", "spiritual values", "cultural and leisure activities". The review of these concepts is carried out from pedagogical, philosophical, cultural perspectives. The author pays particular attention to the potential of cultural and leisure activities in free time, along with other spheres of life, in the formation of spiritual values. The research purpose is to demonstrate the possibilities of cultural and leisure activities in fostering spiritual values of children. Research methods: analysis of scientific-theoretical and methodological techniques related to research topic while writing the manuscript.
