This article addresses the issue of developing research competencies among future educational psychologists in the context of the digital educational environment of higher education institutions. The rapid advancement of digital educational technologies today necessitates a reevaluation of all aspects of the educational process at universities. This is especially relevant for the training of future educational psychologists, as both pedagogy and psychology are sciences focused on research and innovation. Today, educational psychologists must be capable of effectively utilizing new information technologies and digital tools in their professional activities. In this regard, the development of research competencies becomes a crucial task. The article emphasizes the importance of using digital tools in the training process of future educational psychologists and analyzes their impact on the development of research competencies. It thoroughly explores the effective use of digital educational platforms, virtual and augmented reality tools, and data analysis software in the educational process. The article is dedicated to examining the pedagogical and psychological aspects of the digitalization of the education system. It also highlights the importance of mastering digital technologies for future educators and psychologists and comprehensively analyzes their influence on scientific research activities. Particular attention is given to the necessity of training students to work with software tools for data analysis and conducting research within the digital educational environment. The article also particularly emphasizes the potential of digital educational tools in developing critical thinking skills and the ability to conduct independent scientific research among future educational psychologists. Furthermore, it analyzes the methodological foundations for their effective use and the potential of the digital educational environment in the process of developing research competencies.
