Abstract

The article examines the linguistic intelligence concept in the context of modern science and explores the structural and lexical methods of its development. The increasing impact of extralinguistic factors has necessitated a reconsideration of the ongoing changes within language. In this context, the exploration of the relationship between human cognition and language has gained particular relevance.

Based on the studies of domestic and foreign anthropocentric researchers, it has been proved that the categories of language and mind are related. In the present study, the concept of 'linguistic intelligence' is examined from a novel perspective, highlighting the convergence of key human language abilities.

In order to identify ways to effectively develop students' linguistic intelligence, the results of interdisciplinary, applied and fundamental research, as well as experimental scientific conclusions, were used as a basis. As a result, priority areas and rational mechanisms for the development of linguistic intelligence were analyzed. The system features of the concept were defined. A structural and lexical method of development has been proposed.

The method proposed by us in the study is related to the works of A. Baitursynov. Systematizing the scientist's opinions, the concept of «linguistic intelligence» was first defined. The linguistic and didactic principles defined in scientific works for language teaching are summarized within the proposed principles. This result can be used to improve students' linguistic intelligence.
