The study of the pedagogical activity of the outstanding public and state figure A. Baitursynov represents a significant part of his life path. A detailed study and understanding of his work in the teaching field allows us to not only evaluate his individual contribution to the education development, but also understand his historical significance for his contemporaries and future generations. In the period from 1900 to 1902, A. Baitursynov taught at the Urunbaev (Orynbaev) aul (village) school of the Mendygary volost of the Kustanay district. This school was administratively subordinate to the Kustanay pedagogical class in the district center, where A. Baitursynov himself taught as well. During his teaching career, the school's graduates included famous educators, including S. Kubeyev and M. Dulatov. During this period, A. Baitursynov devoted himself to literary work and began translating fables by Ivan Krylov. During his work in Kostanay, Baitursynov became closely acquainted with A.Y. Alektorov, the inspector of Turgay public schools, who played a significant role in his life and career. In the spring of 1902, Alektorov was appointed as the director of public schools in the Akmola and Semipalatinsk regions, and A. Baitursynov was offered a position of director-clerk. This decision led to A. Baitursynov’s move to Omsk, where a new stage of his educational activities began. The study of the Kostanay period of A. Baitursynov’s educational activities opens up the opportunity for scientists and readers to understand his contribution to education and enlightenment, as well as his role in the socio-cultural development of society.
