The relevance of the article is determined by the need to introduce innovative methods into the educational process. This paper examines methodological approaches to the introduction of critical and developmental analyses into the educational process, as well as their impact on the research skills of schoolchildren. The examples of practical application of these methods are analyzed, their impact on the motivation of students, and the prospects for their further use for the formation of students' independence and critical thinking in the learning process are identified. The research is based on a comparison of the concepts of critical analysis and critical thinking. The scientific significance of paper lies in clarifying the role of the research approach in teaching, and the practical significance lies in the possibility of applying the results to improve educational strategies. The methodology includes an analysis of existing theories and approaches, as well as an empirical study of the application of critical thinking in educational practice. The main results confirm that the research approach contributes to the development of critical thinking in students, which makes the article a valuable contribution to pedagogical practice and theory.
